Join Jason & Stacy Tonioli for an Amazing Alaska Cruise!

Last year Jason and his wife Stacy visited Alaska for their second time and fell in love with this itinerary. They loved it so much that they both decided they wanted to do the exact same thing again this year and bring friends along with them.

If you’ve been on an Alaska cruise before, this is NOT your standard Seattle, Alaska cruise loop that so many of the cruise lines are known for. You’ll be cruising all the way north and the further north you go, the more beautiful it gets. You’ll get to see all the best ports, but the wildlife and mountains get better and better as you head further north than the normal cruise loop.

You’ll also spend a full day cruising in Glacier Bay National Park to see the Glaciers. Only two cruise ships per day are allowed into this bay. It is breathtaking. If you are doing an Alaska cruise, it is SOOOO worth seeing Glacier Bay.

The cruise ship will finish in College Glacier bay (27 Glaciers) where the Exon Valdez oil disaster happened years ago. It makes for a very interesting finish to the cruise to see the wildlife and how the area has recovered.

While on the ship, Jason will be planning to do at least one (hopefully 2) mini concerts on the ship. We are currently working with the ship’s entertainment director to secure times and locations for our group meetup/concert. We are expecting to be able to have a private group event where he’ll be sharing his music, house concert style. This will be a super fun way to enjoy some of the down time while cruising on the ship. He’ll also plan on hosting the groups for dinner on several of the nights in the dining room.

This cruise is a great couples get-away and there are also fun options for the kids as well.

You’ll have exclusive access to a private concert with Jason, and other workshop and one-on-one opportunities. Jason has self published 14 albums and 14 piano solo books. He has also provided music for the popular TV documentary, History of the Saints as well as many other online video productions.

From stunning views of glaciers, beautiful port cities (Icy Strait, Juneau and Skagway) with exciting excursions available, and amazing music this is sure to be an adventure you won’t want to miss.

You can reserve your cabin now for only $250.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will I Need a Passport for this Cruise?

You will need a passport to enter Canada’s Vancouver airport and also to board the ship.

What's the weather going to be like in August on the cruise?

Jason was on this exact cruise in 2019 on August 3rd. The temperatures were as warm as 78 degrees. It will get cold at night and could require a jacket during the day, but the likelihood of good weather is much higher in the month of August in Alaska. In fact, for many of the days at sea it was warm enough to wear shorts and flip flops on the balcony and deck of the ship. Bottom line is you should come expecting to wear pants and a jacket and be thrilled if you can get away with wearing shorts and flip flops.

What's the Medallion Class Princess Ships Like?

the Grand Princess is a Medallion Class hip and had its maiden voyage in 1998. In 2019 the ship was drydocked for a complete refurbishment. It is a smaller ship than the new mega ships but will feel like new ship. The total guests is a max of 2,000 with 895 Crew. The ship was completely refurbished in January of 2019. It has more than 700 balcony staterooms. The ship features movies under the stars. Jason picked this ship because of the smaller size and It is also set to become one of the newest additions to the Medallion Class level ships in October of 2020. If you’d like to check out more about the Princess, tour the rooms, check out the dining and other onboard activities, click here

What's the Internet Like on Medallion Class Princess Ships?

MedallionNet WiFi which means they offer unlimited Internet onboard. This means that they are using the newest satellite technology. There is an awesome video that explains how this works that is worth a quick watch below. Jason and Stacy were able to work online for nearly the entire trip and even do video calls with the family while at sea last year in Alaska.

Are Vaccines or Masks Required for Princess Cruises?

This is a moving target that we expect to continue to evolve and change in the coming weeks and months as restrictions are lifted. Our cruise will be leaving from Vancouver, Canada so we expect restrictions to be more stringent in Canada given their reactions to the pandemic. This link provides the most up to date requirements from Princess Cruises about current requirements. Click Here

As of March 2022 many cruises have listed mask requirements and things have started to return to normal. We expect by August of 2022 that there will be continued relaxing of requirements worldwide.

If you are concerned about requirements, we are encouraging guests to book a “refundable fare” cabin so that there is maximum flexibility were you to change your mind about traveling due to health, vaccine or mask requirements that may or may not be in place when the cruise takes place.

Again, we are hoping for relaxed restrictions and based on the loosening of CDC and other health mandates as of March 2022 it looks promising.

Do they have options for kids on the ship and is this a good cruise for kids?

Alaska is a great family vacation spot. Most kids don’t appreciate the amazing scenery, but the kids clubs are fun. You can learn more about the kid club onboard here.

Can you help book our flights? What other costs should I expect if I come on the cruise?

We are more than happy to books your flights and will likely suggest having Princess handle the flight for you. That way if there are any changes needed, they will adjust the flights at no charge. You’ll likely want to plan to do an excursion in each port. We’ve included links below to some of the options. Jason will also be doing a Q&A call with everyone coming on the trip where he’ll answer questions and give input on what things have been really fun on past trips. Depending on what you decide to do, shore excursions can range anywhere from $40 – $300+ per day, per person. Most of the time you should expect to spend around $80-$100 per day for most activities though. Whale watching and flight seeing adventures are more expensive. The cruise line makes it super easy to book excursions onboard but you’ll definitely save money if you are willing to book on your own ahead of time. We have several websites that make this easy to see reviews and make it easy to book online.

What's the plan for the concerts onboard the ship?

Each ship has their own entertainment director and team. We are working now with the Princess event team to arrange for at least two dates where we will have access to a piano and a private get-together with our group. Jason will be playing piano and depending on the size of the group, he may choose to bring some additional musicians and guests to make the concerts even more special. We’ll know more about this as we get closer to sailing but know that we are actively working to put together some really awesome concerts that you’ll be talking about for years.
